新加坡上调了2026年经济增长预测，原因在于上半年表现强于预期，不过有官员警告称，全球经济依然面临风险。贸易及工业部（MTI）周二公布的修正后数据显示，第二季度国内生产总值（GDP）同比增长5.9%。该部门7月份的初步预估为第二季度增长5.7%，第一季度增幅为6.3%。上半年GDP同比增长6.1%。该部门将其2026年增长预测从之前预计的2.0%-4.0%上调至4.5%-5.5%。2025年该国经济增长5.0%。贸易及工业部将此次上修归因于上半年表现强于预期，以及在全球人工智能相关资本支出加速的推动下，今年剩余时间的前景有所改善。不过，贸易及工业部警告称，风险包括中东冲突可能升温，这或将引发能源大宗商品价格和其他关键中间投入品价格再度飙升。该部门称：“由此导致的通胀压力上升和全球金融环境收紧，可能会抑制全球增长。”经季节性调整后，第二季度GDP环比增长1.4%，相比之下，初值为增长1.1%，第一季度修正后增幅为1.2%。
