United Microelectronics Cancels Nearly 7 Million Shares in Capital Reduction Exercise

United Microelectronics (TPE:2303) completed a capital reduction exercise to cancel around 6.9 million restricted shares forfeited by employees, according to a Tuesday filing with the Taiwan Exchange.

The cancelation lowers the chipmaker's paid in capital to about NT$125.7 billion, leaving around 12.5 billion outstanding shares.
