惠誉维持美国AA+评级不变且展望稳定，美国庞大的经济规模以及美元的全球储备货币地位为该评级提供支撑，但财政赤字仍然居高不下，而且华府迄今未采取实质性的应对措施。
目前美国评级较最高等级AAA低一级。惠誉周四表示，美国充满活力的商业环境和较高的人均收入也是评级支撑因素，但政府债务水平已超过AA+评级国家中位数的两倍。
惠誉分析师指出，美国政府尚未采取有实质意义的措施，应对财政赤字庞大的问题，高额财政赤字、沉重的利息负担以及持续上升的政府债务水平制约了美国评级。
惠誉预计，受减税和关税退款影响，美国2026年财政赤字率料从上年的6.8%升至7.4%。惠誉还预计，美国债务与GDP之比将进一步攀升，利息负担上升将加剧债务增长。美国政府周四发行的30年期国债中标收益率创下25年新高。
