路透芝加哥8月13日 - 泰森食品公司周四表示，将关闭或出售其三家牛肉加工及包装厂，随着美国历史上罕见的牛源短缺加剧了这家美国最大肉类加工企业的亏损，其牛肉业务规模将进一步缩减。
该公司表示，将停止伊利诺伊州乔斯林的牛肉加工厂和犹他州鹰山即食牛肉加工厂的运营，并寻求出售位于华盛顿州帕斯科的牛肉加工厂。
泰森表示，将把这些地点的生产能力转移至其他基地，并以内布拉斯加州达科他城、堪萨斯州霍尔科姆和得克萨斯州阿马里洛的工厂为核心，巩固其牛肉业务。泰森在声明中称，公司还将在“牛源充足时”恢复阿马里洛工厂的第二班次生产。
