Pharming (PHAR) launched Joenja in Japan for adult and pediatric patients aged 4 and older with activated PI3K delta syndrome, or APDS, following its inclusion on Japan's National Health Insurance drug price list, the company said Thursday.

The launch marks the first commercial availability of Joenja worldwide for children aged 4 to 11, the company said.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare approved the treatment in March as the first treatment specifically for APDS, it added.

Joenja, or leniolisib, is an oral PI3K-delta inhibitor developed for APDS.
