智通财经APP获悉，8月14日，香港特区政府宣布张云正获再度委任为保险业监管局(保监局)行政总监，任期三年，由2026年8月15日至2029年8月14日。这项任命是行政长官根据《保险业条例》(第41章)(《条例》)作出。
财经事务及库务局局长许正宇欢迎有关任命，并表示：张先生在提升香港作为国际风险管理中心的地位，以及加强保险业监管框架方面，表现卓越。在张先生的领导下，保监局在推进风险为本资本制度、检讨该制度以支持中国内地和香港的基建投资、强化保险相连证券市场，以及提升香港专属自保保险业务的竞争力方面的工作均取得显著进展。我深信，他将继续领导保监局加强审慎监管，保障保单持有人的利益，并与业界紧密合作，加强香港的竞争力，同时开拓中国内地及海外市场的新机遇。
张云正于2018年8月首度获委任为保监局行政总监。他目前是国际保险监督官协会执行委员会的成员，以及亚洲保险监督官论坛成员。
保监局是根据《条例》在2015年12月成立的独立保险业规管机构。该局于2017年6月接替前保险业监理处负责规管保险公司，并在2019年9月落实直接规管保险中介人。
