Carlsberg is scheduled to report results for the first six months of the year on Wednesday before markets open in Europe. Here is what you need to know.

SALES AND VOLUMES FORECAST: The Danish brewer should book sales volumes of 78.6 million hectolitres, according to a poll of analysts compiled by the company. That would mark an increase, on a reported basis, from 76.3 million HL in the same period a year earlier. That rise should lift sales to 47.16 billion Danish kronor ($7.30 billion), compared with 45.86 billion kronor previously.

PROFIT FORECAST: Operating earnings--the company's preferred profit metric--should come in at 7.55 billion kronor, analysts expect.

WHAT TO WATCH:

Despite signs of recovery in beer demand, Carlsberg shares have struggled to gain traction this year. Any upward adjustment to guidance for full-year profit could offer the share a boost this week.

--STATE OF THE MARKET: The brewer, whose stable includes the likes of Kronenbourg and Tuborg alongside its namesake lager, will be hoping to see a continuation of the rebound to positive organic volume growth booked in the year's first quarter, when beer volumes also turned positive after a spell of decline. The group may also note a second-quarter bounce from the FIFA soccer world championship, a major spur of alcohol sales in bars and supermarkets alike.

"We remain constructive on beer and see Carlsberg delivering the strongest volume performance among brewers in 2026, with Britvic synergies underpinning [growth,]" analysts at J.P. Morgan wrote in a note.

--SOFT TOUCH: In an update earlier this year, Carlsberg singled out a big boost in soft-drinks sales thanks to its acquisition of Britain's Britvic, a maker of tonics, mixers and juices. Investors will be looking out for signs of contribution growing as more consumers turn away from alcohol.
