ChainCatcher 消息，据东亚日报报道，三星电子计划将京畿道平泽半导体事业场核心项目 P5 1·2 工厂（Fab 5·6）由原有双层晶圆厂扩大为三层晶圆厂建设，以应对全球人工智能半导体及存储器超级周期、最大化提升产能。三星电子近日已提交产业园区计划变更案，拟将容积率由 350% 上调至最高 490%，该变更须经京畿道知事审查并获国土交通部产业选址政策审议委员会批准后最终确定。
平泽 P5 1·2 工厂为单一标准下全球最大规模半导体工厂，2022 年开工、目标 2030 年完工，将生产高带宽存储器（HBM）、高端 DRAM、下一代 V-NAND 及先进代工产品。目前已投产的平泽 P4 采用单栋 4 个洁净室的双层结构；若变更获批，P5 起将配置最多 6 个洁净室，洁净室数量与产能有望提升约 1.5 倍。SK 海力士亦计划将龙仁半导体集群新建晶圆厂全部采用三层结构。
市场机构 Counterpoint Research 预计，全球存储器市场规模有望由去年约 360 万亿韩元增至今年 1500 万亿韩元、明年 2100 万亿韩元。在电力、用水与土地获取日趋困难的背景下，提高容积率建设三层晶圆厂，成为突破有限空间物理限制并依托既有半导体产业生态的重要路径。
