The Star Entertainment Group's (ASX:SGR) Star Sydney casino must pay a AU$500,000 fine for allowing a minor to enter its venue on multiple occasions between April and August of 2025, the New South Wales Independent Casino Commission said Wednesday.

The 16-year-old gained access to Star Sydney and the Crown Sydney property using a fraudulent driver's license, the regulator said.

It added that both casinos have agreed to implement remediation measures that include enhancements to their identity verification and customer onboarding processes, as well as additional staff training.

The Star Entertainment Group did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

The company's shares fell 4% in recent Wednesday trade.
