美伊双方于 6 月 17 日达成一份谅解备忘录：双方在 60 天内就伊朗核问题谈判最终协议，在此期间保障霍尔木兹海峡通航。这份为期两个月的谈判期限于周一正式到期。
据伊朗塔斯尼姆通讯社报道，伊朗外交部发言人伊斯梅尔・巴卡埃明确拒绝谈判延长该备忘录。
“我们根本没有启动任何实质性谈判，美国从一开始就违背这份谅解，因此这份 60 天期限已经没有实际意义。” 巴卡埃对塔斯尼姆通讯社表示。
