路透都柏林8月20日 - Meta首席执行官马克·扎克伯格购置了一座19世纪的哥特式城堡，该城堡坐落于爱尔兰东南部，俯瞰一条河流，距离该公司欧洲总部200公里(125英里)，一位发言人周四表示。
据国家建筑档案馆记载，斯特兰卡利城堡建于1830年左右，坐落于俯瞰布莱克沃特河的土地上，并于2003年进行了大规模翻新。
该交易未在爱尔兰国家房产价格登记册上列出。最先报道此次收购的《爱尔兰时报》估计，该房产价值可能在2,000万至3,000万欧元之间。
扎克伯格的一位发言人表示，他和家人“很高兴能继续照料这座历史悠久的宅邸，并期待在爱尔兰度过美好时光。”
Meta在爱尔兰雇佣了约1,500名员工。许多美国科技跨国公司都在爱尔兰设立了欧洲总部，部分原因在于该国优越的税收制度。
