据报道，美国亿万富翁比尔・盖茨位于加勒比海尼维斯岛的一处豪华度假村，因物业状况问题面临索赔金额达1亿美元的诉讼。
尼维斯四季度假村（Four Seasons Resorts Nevis）业主协会上周起诉了尼维斯峰控股公司。该协会代表这片占地 350 英亩地产内的 66 位业主。尼维斯峰控股公司归属于盖茨的私人投资机构卡斯凯德（Cascade），后者同时持有四季酒店及度假村 71% 以上的股权。
业主们指控，尽管度假村收费高昂，包含10万美元入门费以及超过 1.3 万美元的年费，但园区环境脏乱、设施破败，基础设施问题严重。具体而言，该诉讼指控尼维斯峰控股公司未能妥善维护度假村物业，2022 年火灾过后，高尔夫俱乐部会所与健身中心迟迟没有重建。
业主协会还表示，自 2013 年以来，业主已经缴纳超过 2000 万美元的管理费与俱乐部会费，但承诺的维修工程始终没有落实。业主还称，四年间他们自掏腰包额外花费 140 万美元用于电力及基础设施修缮。
报道称，业主协会如今要求尼维斯峰控股公司解决上述问题，或是赔付超1亿美元，用以赔偿业主认定的资产价值损失。值得注意的是，负责运营该度假村的四季酒店并未被列为本案被告。
卡斯凯德投资公司在一份声明中否认了相关指控，表示其 “打算积极抗辩这些诉求，公司认为这些指控完全站不住脚。”
