Polaris to Reduce Capital by NT$4.3 Billion; Plans to Dissolve Two European Units

Polaris Group (TPE:6550) will reduce its capital by NT$4.3 billion, cancelling 430 million shares, or 48.1% of its issued shares, to offset accumulated losses.
Shares dropped about 5% in Tuesday's afternoon trade.
Following the reduction, paid-in capital will fall to NT$4.65 billion from NT$8.95 billion, with 464.9 million shares remaining.
Existing shares will stop trading from Sept. 17 to Sept. 24, with replacement shares scheduled to begin trading on Sept. 29, it said.
According to a separate same-day filing, the company plans to dissolve and deregister its non-operational European subsidiaries - DesigneRx Europe and Polaris Pharmaceuticals Ireland.
