印度央行行长Sanjay Malhotra称，该行的美元远期净空头头寸仍处于“非常可控”的水平，并提及此前的流动性互换安排和近期改善国际收支平衡的举措。
过去两年，为支撑持续走软的卢比汇率，印度央行建立起全球规模最大的美元看空头寸之一。该行如今面临如何在不扰乱外汇市场稳定的前提下，解除这些头寸的挑战。
“汇率仍由市场决定，” Malhotra周四接受采访称，“我们的干预政策保持不变，即遏制过度波动和任何不当投机活动。”
据悉，印度央行预计其最近通过外币非居民（银行）存款、外部商业借款和海外外币借款吸引更多美元流入该国的三项措施，将至少带来800亿美元资金流入。
