8月20日，港股市场创新药概念股集体大涨，其中，云顶新耀飙升55%，中国生物制药大涨近20%，石药集团涨超16%，晶泰控股、金斯瑞生物科技涨超12%，乐普生物涨超11%，康方生物张超10%，绿叶制药涨超8%，荣昌生物、博安生物、复星医药、欧康维视生物-B、远大医药涨超7%，四环医药、信达生物、康诺亚-B涨超6%，同源康医药-B、歌礼制药-B、药明生物、科伦博泰生物涨超5%。
消息面上，美国制药企业默沙东和莫德纳周三宣布，其实验性信使核糖核酸(mRNA)皮肤癌疫苗在最后阶段临床试验中取得积极结果。专家认为，这是治疗此类癌症的一项“重大突破”。
这款名为“intismeran autogene”的新疗法采用mRNA技术。该技术此前已被用于研制新冠疫苗。研究人员多年来一直尝试开发基于mRNA技术的癌症疗法，此次三期临床试验取得积极结果尚属首次。
伦敦巴茨癌症研究所教授、肿瘤学家马尔科·格林格表示，除了为黑色素瘤患者带来希望外，这些结果还从概念上证明了“个体化癌症疫苗确实有效”。
