Coty expects to complete its consumer beauty strategic review by the end of 2026 as it continues to work through a plan aimed at strengthening its brand and financials. Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical received accelerated approval for Genglycos, a treatment for glycogen storage disease type Ia (GSDIa) from the Food and Drug Administration. Genglycos would be the first therapy that directly targets the root cause of GSDIa, Ultragenyx said. It also marks Ultragenyx's first gene therapy approval. The stock rose 7.6% to $28.24 in after-hours trading.
Edesa Biotech said it commenced a secondary offering. The biopharmaceutical company said an underwritten public offering of its common shares, or pre-funded warrants to purchase common shares in lieu thereof, and accompanying common share warrants to purchase common shares was underway. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include working capital, capital expenditures and research and development and manufacturing expenses, the company said. The stock declined 24% to $4.39 in post-market trading.
