Coherent (COHR) has begun supplying a new heat-management material to AI chipmakers, moving the technology from internal development to customer testing.

The 300mm wafers are designed to pull heat away from high-power processors more effectively, improving cooling performance by up to 25% compared with current materials while still working with existing chip-manufacturing tools, the company said Monday in a statement.
