Shares of Infleqtion fell after the company reported updated second-quarter financial results.
The stock declined 5.9%, to $12.62, in premarket trading Tuesday. Through Monday's close, shares have lost about 14% of their value year to date.
The quantum-computing company late Monday said it had to update its results for the latest quarter to account for an accounting adjustment related to two contracts that shifted the timing of revenue recognition between periods with no impact to cash.
After the adjustment, Infleqtion posted a net loss of $24.7 million, or 11 cents a share, for its three months ended June 30. Last week, the company had reported a net loss of $25.8 million, or 12 cents a share, for the period.
The company widened its net loss from a year ago, which it attributed primarily to higher operating expenses and stock-based compensation.
Infleqtion updated its total revenue figure to $13.5 million, whereas pre-adjustment, the company had reported $12.6 million.
Looking ahead, the company said it now expects revenue to total roughly $45.1 million for the year. Last week, it had guided for revenue of about $43 million.
