路透8月21日 - 新加坡已向四家数据中心企业分配了200兆瓦的新增容量，旨在巩固其作为区域人工智能枢纽的地位。
新加坡资讯通信媒体发展局周五在一份声明中表示，Digital Realty DLR.N、Equinix EQIX.O、Keppel Data Centres 和 ST Telemedia Global Data Centres 各获批50兆瓦的额外容量。
声明称，这四家企业已承诺将超越最低可持续性要求，其数据中心容量中超过一半的电力将来自绿色能源。
据新加坡资讯通信媒体发展局（IMDA）称，新加坡的数据中心总装机容量超过1.4吉瓦，约占该城邦电力消耗的7%，预计到2030年这一比例将升至12%。
新加坡在该领域面临来自邻国马来西亚 (link) 的激烈竞争，后者已取代新加坡，成为该地区增长最快的数据中心枢纽。
