Brookfield Renewable Partners to Issue CA$750 Million of Green Bonds

Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP, BEPC) said late Thursday it is planning to issue 750 million Canadian dollars ($545 million) of green bonds.
The bonds will include CA$400 million of series 21 notes due 2036, paying 4.949% in annual interest, and CA$350 million of series 22 notes due 2031, paying 4.256% in annual interest.
The issue of the bonds is expected to close on August 24.
Brookfield Renewable intends to use note proceeds to fund eligible investments within Brookfield Renewable's 2024 Green Financing Framework, including to the repayment of debts.
