PetroChina (HKG:0857, SHA:601857) and Sinochem International (SHA:600500) bought a total of 4 million barrels of crude oil -- at least 2 million barrels each -- from Saudi Aramco, Reuters reported Thursday, citing sources.

The Saudi Arabian oil company resumed oil loading from inside the Strait of Hormuz last week and plans to load more tankers, according to the report.

Aramco offered some Asian refiners through private negotiations Arab Medium and Arab Heavy crude cargoes for loading through ship-to-ship transfers from the United Arab Emirates, the report said.

PetroChina, Sinochem, and Aramco did not reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
