US$667,000 for its 2HFY2026 ended June, boosted by US$1.3 million in tariff refund in the US.\nIn contrast, it reported a loss of US$4.4 million incurred in the year-earlier half year. \nThe company cut back on R&D and admin costs, and booked a divestment gain of US$0.9 million, but also took a forex loss of US$0.1 million.\nDespite the second half profit, it ended the year with a loss of US$586,000, a marked improvement from US$10.4 million recorded for FY2025.\nThe company's revenue for the year was down 10% to US$60.9 million, which it says was partly caused by the impact of geopolitical tensions that contributed to elevated inflation which dampened demand for consumer electronics products.\nIn addition, the company streamlined its line up of products as part of its \"strategic efforts\" to better focus on improving its margins.\nCreative says the overall business environment remains uncertain due to the continuing heightened geopolitical tensions.\nThe company warns that it is facing higher costs after the prices of certain electronic components have increased because of rapid AI development. \n\"With these uncertain and difficult business conditions, the market for the group's products remains challenging,\" Creative says.\nHaving said so, the company is now \"much leaner\" and it will work on new strategic directions while remaining focused on its core strengths to work towards profitability and sustainable growth of the business.\nFor the current FY2027, Creative remains \"cautious\".
