韩国出口继续保持强劲势头，8月前20天，韩国出口同比增长56%，半导体出口创下新高。
韩国海关总署周五公布的初步数据显示，8月1日至20日的出口额达到552亿美元，同比增长56%，是有史以来8月任何20天内的最高水平。
从出口品目来看，半导体出口增长尤为显著。半导体出口额同比增长198.8%，达到260亿美元，创同期历史新高。半导体出口额占总出口额的47.2%，较上年增长22.5个百分点。
此外，计算机外围设备出口增长242.1%，石油产品增长56.4%，钢铁产品增长9.7%。
相比之下，乘用车出口下降45.1%，这主要是由于汽车制造商将暑假集中在8月初，导致产量下降。本月前10天，乘用车出口已暴跌80.9%。
按出口目的地划分，对中国的出口增长了118.6%，达到153亿美元。对美国的出口增长了59.4%，达到80亿美元；对越南的出口增长了67.4%，对香港的出口增长了245.5%。相比之下，对欧盟的出口额则下滑了3.2%。
前三大国家/地区——中国、美国和越南——的出口份额为52.6%。
与此同时，8月1日至20日进口额为412亿美元，同比增长19%。其中，半导体进口额增长59.4%，芯片制造设备增长89.3%，原油增长17.0%，而天然气进口额下降17.1%。包括原油、天然气和煤炭在内的能源进口额增长11.1%。
由于出口远远超过进口，贸易顺差达到140亿美元。
