Hot Chili Expands High-Grade Core of Chile Discovery; Shares Up 4%

Hot Chili (ASX:HCH) expanded the high-grade core of the La Verde discovery in Chile and confirmed continuity of shallow and wide zones of copper-gold mineralization ahead of a planned maiden mineral resource estimate, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
Recent reverse circulation and diamond drilling returned 472 meters grading 0.4% copper equivalent (CuEq) from 49 meters, 182 meters grading 0.5% CuEq from 24 meters and 272 meters grading 0.4% CuEq from 82 meters, the filing said.
A fourth rig has been added to advance drilling operations with assays for 18 holes pending, per the filing.
Shares rose 4% in afternoon trade Monday.
