智通财经APP获悉，花旗集团正在加大对亚太投资银行业务的投入力度。8月20日，花旗集团(C.US)亚太区投行业务主管Kaustubh Kulkarni在接受采访时透露，花旗今年以来已在亚太地区招募10名高级投行家，未来还将继续扩充团队、增聘人手。
不过，在积极扩充团队的同时，花旗亚太投行也面临核心人才流失。上周有消息称，花旗北亚、澳洲及南亚企业融资主管施远志(Alexander Schrantz)将离开花旗，并转投高盛。此前，今年3月，花旗亚太区投行业务联席主管Jan Metzger离职并加入渣打银行，出任全球覆盖银行业务主管。
花旗近年来持续推动全球投行业务扩张，并将亚太市场作为重要增长区域。不过，从市场份额来看，其亚太业务目前仍处于修复阶段。数据显示，花旗在亚洲股票发行承销业务中的排名已由2024年的第一位下降至今年的第七位。
在此背景下，花旗此次继续加码人才招聘，意图较为明确：通过扩大高级银行家团队，强化日本、北亚、澳洲及南亚等重点市场的客户覆盖能力，并争取在股票融资、并购以及其他资本市场业务中重新夺回市场份额。
