Sun Silver (ASX:SS1) secured a 50 acre-feet per year of groundwater permit for the Maverick project from the Nevada Division of Water Resources, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The annual entitlement of 50 acre-feet per year is equivalent to about 62 million liters of ground water annually, the filing said.
Shares rose 2% in morning trade Friday.
