8月24日，平陆运河5000吨级智能船舶示范船“北港运河001”号驶入郁江航段，开启近7个小时的全科目测试。

“北港运河001”船为集散两用船，总吨2983，船长89.9米，船宽15.76米，型深6.10米，是为适配平陆运河而重点建造的5000吨级智能船舶示范船。该船具有智能化、绿色化两大优势，在西江首次实现智能机舱、船载数据集成平台及智能能效的应用。

船舶搭载的智能航行系统，可切换随动、非随动、自动三种驾驶模式，覆盖船舶航行的全场景需求。船身还增设防碰舷舱结构，提升抗沉能力，进一步保障水上运输安全。同时，船舶还采用LNG清洁能源动力，每年能节约上百万元运营成本。

广西中船北部湾船舶与海洋工程设计有限公司设计师介绍，该船型主要航行于平陆运河干线，按智能集成平台、智能机舱、自主航行、自动靠离泊、远程控制应用要求进行设计制造，实现平陆运河船舶-港口-船闸协同的一体化智能航运。该船还具备阻力性能创新点，使用垂直艏，这是西江流域首次使用该技术。

此前，首艘平陆运河5000吨级智能船舶示范船“北港运河002”已于6月18日成功下水试航。
