路透8月28日 - Alphabet旗下的谷歌 GOOGL.O 周五表示，已修改其在欧洲的垃圾信息政策 (link)，以回应欧盟的关切——这些关切原本可能导致该公司面临反垄断罚款。
此前，多家出版商对其“网站声誉滥用政策”提出投诉，这家美国科技巨头因此被欧盟监管机构盯上。
该政策旨在打击在网站上发布第三方页面以利用主站排名信号、试图操纵搜索排名的做法，这种行为通常被称为“寄生式SEO”。
欧盟表示，其监测显示，当新闻媒体和其他出版商的网站包含来自商业合作伙伴的内容时，谷歌的反垃圾信息政策会导致这些网站及其内容在谷歌搜索结果中的排名被降低。
谷歌表示，自8月30日起，任何旨在降低网站排名的人工干预措施将不再适用于欧盟27国、冰岛、挪威和列支敦士登（即欧洲经济区）的用户。
该公司补充称，在欧洲经济区以外地区，该政策不会发生变化。
针对该政策的担忧已促使作为欧盟竞争执法机构的欧盟委员会根据《数字市场法案》展开调查，该法案旨在遏制科技巨头的权力。
违反《数字市场法案》可能导致企业被处以最高相当于其全球年营业额10%的罚款。
