JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) and Banco Santander are leading an arrangement of about $14 billion to $15 billion to finance Argentina LNG, a proposed project to liquefy and export Argentina's shale gas reserves, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The project, estimated to cost about $24 billion, is led by YPF with Eni and XRG, which hold roughly equal equity stakes. The partners are continuing talks with other lenders, including export credit agencies, Bloomberg reported.
The partners are targeting a final investment decision in late November, according to Bloomberg. The project includes two floating liquefaction vessels, two cross-country pipelines and a natural gas liquids plant.
JPMorgan and Santander did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
