1034 ET - Affirm Chief Executive Max Levchin tells CNBC that high rates and inflation are actually a benefit for the company. People are looking for more ways to budget and manage their money due to high gas prices and inflation across products, Levchin says. As a result, they are coming to the buy now, pay later platform for more discretionary purchases, he says. Affirm itself is insulated from high interest rates because it specializes in 0% interest loans, he adds. Despite the economic pressures, Affirm customers are healthy, mainly because the company underwrites every transaction and will deny anyone it doesn't think can pay back the loan.
