1159 ET - Endeavour Silver can now resume its operations at its Terronera project in Mexico after a peaceful blockade led by community members of the Ejido community was lifted. Community members were demanding proper road maintenance, assistance with medical services and communications, as well as control and access to water supply and increased financial assistance. A spokesperson for the company says "the situation was resolved through direct dialogue, without government or military involvement, as communications with the Ejido remained open and cordial throughout." The spokesperson added that "the discussions focused on matters covered under our existing agreements, as well as additional items, all of which have now been negotiated and are being finalized." Shares are up 1.4% to C$14.82. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)

0952 ET - Endeavour Silver's peaceful resolution with the Ejido community in Mexico should bode well in the long-term. National Bank of Canada's Alex Terentiew notes in a report that the miner resumed operations at Terronera after a 12-day blockade. He trims the net asset value per share estimate to $8.23 from $8.29, but keeps the price target and an outperform rating on the stock, despite a potential modest miss to 2026 output guidance. He says that while the lost production is negative, the peaceful resolution is "a positive sign for Endeavour's community relationships over the next 15+ years at its longest-life, lowest-cost mine." 0659 ET - For Canadian wood products companies, exposure to the new U.S. tariffs should be minimal and manageable, says RBC's Matthew McKellar. In a report, the analyst says that the trade friction primarily hits niche value-added products like engineered wood, paperboard and corrugated boxes. For those, operational flexibilities and shifting where products are produced give Canadian producers a buffer against the worst drag on earnings. Meanwhile, major commodities such as lumber and oriented strand board are completely exempt from the new tariffs, McKellar notes. Still, he says that the tariff environment remains dynamic and there is "significant uncertainty around potential further action by either the U.S. or Canada." (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)

0403 ET - Investors in Indonesia are likely shifting their attention to the Strategic Mineral and Commodity Exchange, which is set to be launched in January, Maybank Sekuritas's Jeffrosenberg Chenlim says in an email. The exchange, which is likely to be operated under sovereign wealth fund Danantara, will facilitate transactions in strategic commodities, he says. It would also serve as a price-discovery mechanism to enhance transparency and help address issues including under-invoicing and transfer pricing. This comes after market sentiment received a further boost from President Prabowo Subianto's recent comments that the sovereign wealth fund's Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia will remain a facilitator rather than a trading house. "This clarification helps alleviate concerns over potential direct government intervention in commodity trading activities," he says. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)

2241 ET - Chandra Asri Pacific's bull at Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia is upbeat on the Indonesian energy and chemical company's ability to execute countercyclical acquisitions and boost its long-term value. The company signed a conditional deal to buy Jardine Cycle & Carriage's automotive business in Singapore and Malaysia, marking its entry into the broader mobility value chain and another step in its diversification strategy, the Maybank analysts say in a note. The potential deal's contribution could lift Chandra Asri's 2026-2027 earnings by 3%-5% and boost its earnings resilience, they add. Meanwhile, elevated refining margins should also support the company's near-term earnings, they add. Maybank maintains its buy rating and 2,600 rupiah target price. Shares fall 0.5% to 2,020 rupiah.(megan.cheah@wsj.com)

2147 ET - Gold rises in Asian trade. The yellow metal has rebounded sharply from July lows, supported by renewed investment demand and growing unease over the U.S. fiscal outlook, say ING strategists in a note. Gold has climbed from around $4,000 a troy ounce in mid-July to around $4,600 an ounce, returning to levels last seen in May. The prospect of larger Treasury buybacks has refocused attention on U.S. government borrowing and fiscal credibility, the strategists say. "It has also revived concerns about currency debasement, reinforcing gold's appeal as a store of value," they add. Spot gold gains 0.3% to $4,617.49 an ounce. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)

1949 ET - PLS's stronger-than-anticipated dividend is partly offset by slightly softer-than-expected net profit and earnings per share, says Citi. It says PLS's Ngungaju ramp-up and P2000 project are now the focus for investors. "P2000 feasibility study outcomes remain due in the December quarter, with A$175 million of pre-FID [final investment decision] expenditure included in FY27 guidance but potential post-FID capital excluded," Citi says. It reiterates a buy rating and A$5.00 target. Shares ended Friday at A$5.07. (rhiannon.hoyle@wsj.com; @RhiannonHoyle)

1919 ET - The reinstatement of dividends by PLS should be taken positively by the market, Barrenjoey says in a client note. The A$0.05/share dividend is a strong beat versus consensus of A$0.03/share, says the bank. It has an overweight rating and A$6.00 share-price target on PLS. In a separate note, RBC Capital Markets also cheers the payout. It is the company's first dividend since FY24, RBC says. "The dividend represents a 22% payout of FY26 adjusted free cash flow, within PLS' target dividend payout ratio of 20-30% of free cash flow," says the broker. It has an outperform rating and A$5.50 target on the stock. Shares ended Friday at A$5.07.
