“社区反对情绪是真实存在的，”麦肯锡公司合伙人Maria Goodpaster表示，“这肯定会拖慢发展步伐，因为一些投资已经完成，而现在我们看到部分企业调整方向，甚至在某些情况下放弃原定选址。”
Goodpaster周三表示，电力和水资源供应能力如今已成为项目商业可行性评估的重要组成部分，并正在影响资本配置和选址决策。
基础设施瓶颈还包括高压变压器、备用发电机等关键设备供应不足。这使投机性开发项目变得更加困难，同时也让已经取得电网接入资格并锁定客户需求的项目获得更高溢价。
“数据中心开发已经经历了一次演变，最初更多是按房地产项目来理解，如今则被视为基础设施资产，需要各种配套条件同步到位，”石Stonepeak董事总经理Kate Dorsey表示。
