美国经济第二季度经济增速未出现修正，仍估计以1.5%年化速度扩张，不过细节显示，消费者支出和企业投资均较最初公布的数据更为强劲。美国商务部经济分析局（BEA）周三公布的第二次估算数据显示，经通胀调整后的国内生产总值（GDP）年化增长率为1.5%，而第一季度增幅为2.1%。占经济活动超过三分之二的消费者支出第二季度年化增长3.4%，高于最初估计的3.2%。非住宅固定投资年化增长8.5%。一项衡量潜在需求的更窄指标——私人国内购买者的最终销售额——第二季度修正后增长4.2%，为三年多来最强增幅，高于最初估计的3.9%。该指标不包括净出口、库存和政府支出。第二季度政府支出年化下降1%，反映出非国防相关支出大幅减少。
