路透伦敦8月25日 - 美国花旗银行和民调机构YouGov周二发布的一项调查显示，英国8月公众通胀预期上升，扭转了近几个月以来的下跌趋势。
未来12个月通胀预期跃升至3.9%，7月为3.4%；长期通胀预期升至4.1%，创4月以来最高水平，7月为3.7%。
花旗表示：“鉴于未来几个月通胀预计将回升，这是该系列数据中一个偏鹰派的变化。”
英国央行正密切关注相关迹象，以判断伊朗战争导致的能源价格上涨是否会转化为更持久的通胀压力。
花旗表示，不宜过度解读单月报告，并称“下个月的数据应能为如何看待此次上升提供更明确的指引”。
