这位德国官员表示，由于能源成本高企，消费者物价涨幅可能在“一段较长时间”内超过2%。她警告说，如果等到这些影响传导至薪资后才采取行动，决策官员就会“落后于情势”。
“以目前的政策利率来看，通胀不太可能在中期内回到目标，因此有必要进一步收紧政策，”施纳贝尔表示，“尤其是在当前总体需求展现韧性的环境下，及早防止第二轮效应出现至关重要，因为如果行动太晚，可能就需要采取更大力度的紧缩措施”。
