Sichuan Changhong Electric's (SHA:600839) attributable profit surged 229% to 1.65 billion yuan in the first half from 500.9 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Earnings per share at the consumer electronics producer soared to 0.3576 yuan from 0.1085 yuan in the prior-year period.
Operating revenue grew 2.8% year over year to 58.3 billion yuan from 56.7 billion yuan.
