ChainCatcher 消息，硅谷知名风险投资机构 a16z 宣布已为最新基金 Machine Age Fund（机器时代基金）募资 11 亿美元，将重点投资支撑 AI 运行的全套计算基础设施，包括芯片、内存、网络、存储，以及数据中心、机器人和家庭 AI 设备等完整系统。
a16z 表示，过去一年 AI 在应用能力和工作类型上的增长出现明显拐点，随着 AI 从聊天、推理进一步向编程等知识工作拓展，对算力和 Token 的需求正呈数量级增长，机器智能正在加速向纵深发展。
a16z 表示，其团队拥有深厚的硬件、数据中心、芯片、网络及大规模计算系统经验，同时已建立覆盖市场拓展、人才招聘、营销、客户、供应商和美国制造业的资源网络，将进一步支持新一代 AI 硬件创业者。a16z 称，当前正处于计算范式变革的重要节点，期待与致力于重构 AI 硬件、推动“机器时代”到来的创业者合作。
