加拿大对美国的贸易战正在层层加码。据路透社报道，萨斯喀彻温省省长斯科特·莫伊周三宣布，该省将对美国酒类征收50%的关税，新税将于9月8日起正式生效。这一刀砍下去，美国酒在这个加拿大农业大省的价格将再上一个台阶。
讽刺的是，萨斯喀彻温省和阿尔伯塔省已经是加拿大仅存的两个还在销售美国葡萄酒、啤酒和烈酒的省份。全国其他省份早已将美国酒从货架上撤下，这一举动早已让美国总统特朗普大为光火。如今，这最后的“阵地”也要失守了。
数据已经提前反映了寒意。莫伊透露，尽管美国酒目前仍在该省销售，但销量已经暴跌40%。50%的关税落地后，美国酒商面临的将不只是销量下滑，而是可能彻底失去这个市场。
莫伊表示，他全力支持总理马克·卡尼对价值200亿美元的美国产品征收报复性关税。“别忘了，让我们陷入这种境地的不是加拿大，”他说，“面对反制关税，我们必须保护自己。”
但话里也有保留。莫伊同时承认，美国仍将是萨斯喀彻温省最大的贸易伙伴。这个以谷物、钾肥和铀闻名的省份，与美国的经济纽带远比一瓶酒复杂得多。
