China Railway Group's Profit Slips 27% in H1

China Railway Group's (HKG:0390, SHA:601390) attributable profit plunged 26.8% to 8.66 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, from 11.8 billion yuan a year ago, according to a Friday filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange.

The construction company's shares were down over 1% in Monday's trade.

Earnings per share contracted to 0.320 yuan from 0.412 yuan a year earlier.

Total revenue in the reported period also declined 7.7% to 473.1 billion yuan from 512.5 billion yuan a year ago.

The company's board declared an interim dividend of 0.06374 yuan per share for the year ended Dec. 31.
