Australia's seasonally adjusted company gross operating profits rose 1.8% quarter-on-quarter and 7.4% year-on-year in the June quarter, according to a Monday report by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Seasonally adjusted wages and salaries advanced 1.4% in the quarter and 5.7% compared with June 2025.
Meanwhile, inventories fell 0.2% quarter-on-quarter and 0.4% year-on-year on a seasonally adjusted, chain-volume basis.
Sales of goods and services rose in nine industries and fell in six, led by gains in mining, professional, scientific and technical services, and wholesale trade, while administrative and support services recorded the largest decline.
Sales of goods and services in the manufacturing sector edged down 0.1% over the quarter but grew 2.4% compared with 2025, while wholesale trade sales rose 0.6% over the quarter and 2.8% year on year.
