Ingenic Semiconductor's (SHE:300223) attributable profit surged 489.6%, or nearly sixfold, to 1.20 billion yuan in the first half from 203.1 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Friday after-hours filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Earnings per share at the Chinese fabless semiconductor company increased to 2.4742 yuan from 0.4214 yuan in the prior-year period.
Revenue grew 76% year over year to 3.96 billion yuan from 2.25 billion yuan.
