8月30日，南航一架注册号为B-20C5的波音777-300（ER）客机，在上海虹桥机场过站期间，机尾左侧最后方舱门的应急滑梯被意外放出。目前南航与虹桥机场均证实该事件，滑梯误放的具体原因仍在调查中。

此次意外导致航班计划临时调整。涉事飞机原执飞虹桥至乌鲁木齐的CZ6982航班，航司更换客机执飞，航班延误70分钟起飞；涉事客机后续调配执飞虹桥至广州的CZ3572航班，晚间正常起飞。

业内专家表示，飞机应急滑梯造价高昂，波音777机型滑梯单价达20万至25万元。滑梯一旦误放，无论有无破损，都需专业人员全面检测、重新封装，产生高额人工与设备成本，若损坏还需报废更换。叠加飞机停场检修、机位占用、航班调度延误等隐性开销，本次事件整体经济损失或将超10万元。
