9月1日，现货白银价格涨0.71%，报67.00美元/盎司；现货黄金价格跌0.10%，报4444.58美元/盎司。
道明证券商品研究主管Bart Melek最新指出，这种立场可能在短期内对黄金构成重大不利影响。Melek最新分析称，市场将此解读为美联储更有可能在9月和12月提高政策利率，这与沃什讲话前的预期大相径庭。而这一讲话也导致的短期利率上升和美元走强，并使得金价下跌。他强调，由于近期美国财政部干预美国债券市场长期利率，金融环境有所放松，交易员推高了黄金价格。
因此，黄金价格可能会回吐近期的部分涨幅，并在年底前跌至4200至4700美元/盎司交易区间的下限。不过，他也补充称，一旦通胀趋于稳定，美联储将有信心逐步解除紧缩政策，以实现其充分就业的目标，从而支持道明证券设定的2027年Q3的金价目标，即国际金价上涨至每盎司5350美元。
