Walt Disney Company (DIS) is facing a bid by the US Federal Communications Commission to dismiss its lawsuit seeking to block the agency's early review of licences for eight company-owned ABC television stations, Reuters report Thursday, citing FCC.
The FCC told a federal court on Thursday that allowing Disney's suit to proceed would prevent the agency from analysing evidence in its ongoing investigation and would hinder efforts to investigate and resolve allegations that Disney engaged in unlawful discrimination, the report said.
The lawsuit seeks to halt the FCC's review of the ABC station licences, according to the report.
Disney and FCC did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
