路透巴黎9月2日 - 欧洲航天局局长周三表示，该机构正考虑在未来几年内增加“阿丽亚娜6号”和“维加-C”火箭的计划发射次数，以克服卫星发射中可能出现的瓶颈。
总干事约瑟夫·阿施巴赫向记者表示，如果预计的需求激增（高峰期在2030年）成为现实，则需要尽快做出决定。
运营方阿丽亚娜航天公司（Arianespace）的最新预测显示，从2027年起，阿丽亚娜6号火箭每年将进行9至10次发射。
阿施巴赫在由AJPAE航空航天媒体协会组织的活动中表示，考虑到欧洲自身的科学及其他任务，以及亚马逊 AMZN.O 可能表现出的进一步兴趣和其他商业活动，需求已超过计划产能。
亚马逊已预订了18次发射任务。
“当然，问题在于我们能否满足所有这些发射需求？这正是我们目前正在评估的内容，”阿施巴赫表示，并补充说目前尚未做出任何决定。
“我们正在研究成本、收益……你可以想象，这绝非易事，”他说。
“我们在部分估算方面已取得进展，但很明显，如果我们要满足2030年的发射需求……就需要尽快做出决定，以建立所需的能力。”
作为空客-赛峰 AIR.PASAF.PA 火箭合资企业ArianeGroup的子公司，阿丽亚娜航天公司（Arianespace）在9月7日计划举行的例行新闻发布会之前拒绝置评。
