9月4日，延续近期强势，港股市场内银股今日再度集体走强。其中，中国银行、建设银行、中国光大银行、农业银行、工商银行、徽商银行涨超2%，邮储银行、中信银行、渤海银行、民生银行涨近2%。中国银行更是创出历史新高。
对于近期银行股整体强势，证券日报发文指出，这并非偶然的短期资金博弈，而是政策护航、资金合力、基本面改善三重力量共同作用的必然结果。首先，政策环境持续优化，各监管部门同向发力、协同施策，为银行板块上行奠定了政策基础。其次，资金端配置逻辑重构，增量资金持续涌入，为银行板块上行积蓄了市场动能。最后，银行经营质量的稳步改善得到数据验证，为银行板块上行提供了基本面支撑。
