VIA Technologies (China), a subsidiary of VIA Technologies (TPE:2388), agreed to invest up to 180 million yen in a fund tentatively named KQ III (Shanghai) Technology Private Equity Fund, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.
The transaction is intended as a financial investment, and the fund's final ownership ratio will be determined based on its closing fund size, the company said.
The investment will be financed with the company's own funds.
