路透9月1日 - 中国消费电子公司TCL 1070.HK 在洛杉矶联邦法院起诉韩国三星 005930.KS，指控这家竞争对手将部分电视产品不实宣传为采用“Mini LED”技术，误导消费者。在周一提交的诉讼中，TCL表示，三星“从旧产品线中推出一款廉价、并非采用Mini LED技术的机型，然后以极具吸引力的价格，将其包装成‘高端’Mini LED机型向消费者推销。”
三星周二发表声明称，将坚决应对这项诉讼，并表示“完全有信心能证明我们产品描述的品质和准确性”。TCL称，三星于3月推出的M系列电视售价低于TCL最便宜的Mini LED电视，并在广告中宣称其采用了Mini LED技术。该诉讼指控称，M系列电视“不包含任何与Mini LED技术相关的技术进步”，而是由三星的标准LED电视改造而来。TCL表示：“这种企业贪婪的老套伎俩再次奏效，三星的假冒产品夺走了TCL辛苦争取来的市场份额。”TCL请求法院下令禁止三星将相关产品宣传为采用“Mini LED”技术，并要求赔偿金额未详的损害赔偿。
