分析师表示，随着油价上涨和侨汇流入增加带来的美元资金持续流入，尼日利亚货币奈拉正迈向近十年来最佳年度表现，这有助于其抵御通常伴随选举季出现的政治风险。
四位分析师平均预测显示，奈拉年底汇率有望从目前的1美元兑1328.92奈拉升至1美元兑1290奈拉左右。这将使奈拉今年以来约8%的涨幅扩大至接近12%，创下至少自2018年以来最强劲的年度升幅。
“我们看到外汇正持续健康流入经济体系，而且外汇储备相当充裕，”拉各斯CardinalStone分析师Olaolu Boboye在电话采访中表示。“人们担心大选，但即便如此，鉴于这些资金流入，我们认为没有什么值得担忧的。”
这个非洲人口最多的国家将在明年第一季度举行总统、州长和立法机构选举。以往这一时期往往会给奈拉带来压力，因为市场对选举结果及经济政策走向的不确定性通常会刺激美元需求上升。
今年前七个月，来自海外尼日利亚人的侨汇流入同比增长50%，达到38亿美元。与此同时，随着伊朗战争扰乱霍尔木兹海峡运输、推升油价，加之石油产量增加和炼油能力提升，也为奈拉提供了支撑。
