受地缘政治与天气风险推动，玉米期货经历数周上涨行情后，一波获利了结浪潮拖累美国谷物市场，玉米创下近三周最大跌幅。
芝加哥交易所主力玉米合约周三最大跌幅达1.8%，为8月13日以来最大盘中跌幅。小麦与大豆同步走弱。此前黑海港口及船只袭击事件不断升级、全球热浪威胁作物产量，市场担忧供应，推动谷物价格大幅冲高。
彭博农业现货指数追踪十大农产品，8月累计涨幅超13%，创下2012年7月以来最大单月涨幅。美国商品期货交易委员会数据显示，此番上涨带动多头头寸大幅增加，对冲基金玉米看涨押注于上周触及四年高位。
国际期货有限责任公司大宗商品销售总监乔・戴维斯（Joe Davis）表示，投机头寸大幅扩张，“使得市场容易出现如当下所见的获利了结行情，尤其在多头头寸快速累积之后。”
戴维斯补充称，尽管周三出现大跌，但市场整体前景依旧偏向看多。玉米期货下跌 1.6%，报每蒲式耳 5.37 美元。
小麦下跌 1.8%，报每蒲式耳 7.68 美元；大豆下跌 1.1%。
